On March 27, 2019, a discussion meeting for the first draft of the industry standard “Technical Specifications for Portable Li-ion Battery Energy Storage Power Sources” was held in Shenzhen. This standard is managed and drafted by China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI, CESI). Nearly 40 experts and representatives from more than 30 companies in the power supply field such as Huabao New Energy, Dibico, Ruineng, ATL, Zimi, and Hanergy attended the meeting.
He Penglin, Secretary General of the Electronic Product Safety Standards Working Group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology/Leader of the Lithium-ion Battery Safety Standards Task Force of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology/Deputy Director of the Saixi Safety Office, attended the meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Liu Yunzhu, Secretary of the Electronic Product Safety Standards Working Group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology/Deputy Director of the Complete Machine Division of the Saixi Security Room. Before the meeting, Liu Yunzhu introduced the work carried out in the early stage of this standard to all the delegates. The drafting group held the first meeting of this standard on August 28, 2018, discussed the standard framework, solicited project team members from the society, and formed a draft for comments based on the discussions at the meeting.
